Breaking: Liverpool to book Alisson medical imminently

Posted by

We used to think a player’s medical was a formality; a mere prelude to a Done Deal – but ever since the Nabil Fekir transfer broke down as a result of his, we’re not so confident!

That being said, Alisson has never had any injury problems during his career, missing just five games on the sidelines in total.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are on the verge of signing the Brazilian no.1 and are arranging his medical assessments as a result.

The Guardian state that Liverpool have made a £66m bid for the 25-year-old, which according to smaller Italian outlets, has been accepted.

Paul Joyce confirms that the bid has been accepted:

Their report confirms that Alisson will become the world’s most expensive keeper, ahead of Ederson and Gianluigi Buffon, should the transfer finalise.

In 2018, Liverpool and FSG are showing huge ambition in the market. We’ve signed Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri – with Alisson imminent.

If we can snare Fekir too, for a rearranged sum, it would prepare us sensationally for the new campaign.
