Bleacher Report’s Liverpool correspondent Dean Jones has contradicted Chris Mckenna in the Mirror by claiming we are very much still in for Nabil Fekir.
The latter suggested last night that our summer business would be over after the Alisson deal, but Jones disagrees – suggesting talks are ‘progressing’ well.
Am told Fekir now progressing well again… This could be a defining week for Liverpool

We’re far more likely to believe Jones for a few reasons…

Done Deal: Liverpool have signed Alisson; announcement Saturday
Firstly, the club has proven this summer that they’ll release false information to English journalists – such as the claims that Danny Ward will be no.1 and we won’t buy an elite stopper.
Of course, this was completely bogus and we’re on the verge of announcing the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.
A no.10 is also wanted, especially with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out for the season – so there’s no reason Liverpool won’t go back in for Nabil Fekir, Jurgen Klopp’s first choice.
Fans agree:
Liverpool will sign Nabil Fekir by the way. It's going to happen.

Liverpool will go back in for Fekir. The information given to English press they we’re done in the market is the same as the ‘Ward is no.1’ and ‘We’re not buying a keeper’ stuff. Released for a purpose. It’ll happen.

We will go for Fekir. Jürgen wants a playmaker, and when he want a player, he will go for that player 100%. YNWA
What do you mean? Will Fekir be a Liverpool player within this transfer window?🔴

Liverpool will sign Fekir…..No doubt about that.

Probably explains why Liverpool have been so diligent around the Fekir medical. Can't afford £100m of midfield talent both out for the same injury.
