Nabil Fekir bumps into Liverpool fan; drops intriguing transfer hint

Nabil Fekir has supposedly dropped the latest hint that he remains keen on sealing a move to Liverpool this summer.

The Lyon skipper had been set for an Anfield switch at the beginning of June after the agreement of personal terms and a £53million fee.

Liverpool withdrew from negotiations in the eleventh hour in light of concerns raised in his medical relating to an underlying knee injury.

Mere speculation has since predicted the resurrection of a deal following Fekir’s return from the World Cup from France, although there is yet to have been any movement since his nation’s triumph in Russia.

One Liverpool fan recently took their opportunity to briefly discuss the matter with Fekir after bumping into him in public.

Noor Patterson joked that she was waiting for Fekir to join, to which the playmaker responded by saying ‘inshallah’ – meaning ‘God willing’.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has regularly admitted he would be willing to let Fekir leave for Liverpool if it was his wish to do so and, of course, providing the right offer came in.

It is believed Liverpool were keen to restructure financial aspects of Fekir’s deal after receiving the results of his medical, which Lyon were evidently not prepared to agree to.

Aulas recently admitted he was ‘90%’ confidence Fekir would still be at the club next season, hinting at a July deadline for Liverpool to reignite their pursuit.

Having gone as far in the process as conducting LFCTV interviews, it would come as no surprise were the 25-year-old to have his heart set on a move to Merseyside.
