£20m-rated LFC ace wanted by Premier League side

While his Liverpool career has been blighted by injuries, Danny Ings could reportedly be heading for the exit door this summer.

The 26-year-old joined us from Burnley in 2015, but he’s been limited to just 25 appearances in all competitions since while only scoring four goals.

Some rotten luck with injuries and fierce competition for places have ensured that he hasn’t been able to make the desired impact at Anfield, and it’s been suggested that we may now choose to offload him this summer.

According to The Guardian, Crystal Palace are keen on Ings, but it remains to be seen whether or not they’re willing to satisfy our reported demands of £20m for the forward.

It will undoubtedly be disappointing to see him leave after such a frustrating spell with the Reds, but as noted in the report, he’s said to be desperate for regular football.

With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino keeping him out of the line-up at Liverpool, it’s arguably the best decision for him to move on and it would be unlike Jurgen Klopp to stand in his way.

Given we’ve also bolstered our attacking options with the addition of Xherdan Shaqiri this summer after signing him from Stoke City, the chances of Ings consistently featuring in the starting line-up in the upcoming campaign look a little bleak and so it remains to be seen if he moves on before the transfer deadline next month.
