According to Brazilian source UOL, our new shot-stopper has decided not to take the number one jersey at Liverpool out of ‘respect’ for Loris Karius.

Let’s face it, after last season’s Champions League final horror-show, the last thing Karius needed was the shiny, new expensive signing coming in and rubbing salt into the wound by taking his shirt.
The report adds, however, that Alisson could still end up taking the number one if Karius leaves Anfield before the end of the summer transfer window.
It remains to be seen if such a deal is in the pipeline, but either way it’s pretty clear who is the more likely to be the real first choice for Jurgen Klopp this season.
