While midfield shouldn’t necessarily be a priority after already bringing in Naby Keita and Fabinho this summer, there’s no doubting Ramsey’s quality.

And according to Ian McGarry, speaking on the Transfer Podcast as referenced in the tweet below, the Reds are showing a ‘little bit of interest’ in the Welshman.
Ramsey would likely cost between £35-40million, making him a potential bargain because, as with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain last summer, they’ve let him run down his contract to the final year.

This means the 27-year-old can move on for free next summer, so it’s in the Gunners’ interests to bag what they can for him now.
To be honest, I can’t see us pushing too hard for this one as we’re so well-stocked in that area, and his age and injury record mean he just doesn’t seem to fit as the ideal kind of Jurgen Klopp signing.
We’ve recently done well to get younger players just entering their peak years and only tend to spend this kind of money if we believe a player can significantly improve us.
For all Ramsey’s qualities, he just doesn’t seem like he’d be quite at that kind of value to this squad.
