Liverpool’s team to face Torino tonight has been announced and there’s some worry amongst supporters as Joe Gomez is nowhere to be seen.
As a result, Nat Philipps is starting alongside Virgil van Dijk, the only fit senior centre-back…
The assumption is that Gomez is injured, anyway, or is at least carrying a knock, as he’d be an automatic starter with Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan already out – and Dejan Lovren only returning from holiday yesterday.

Jurgen Klopp now faces a dilemma. Does he risk playing Lovren against West Ham when the 29-year-old isn’t fully match-fit? Does he field Philipps at Anfield and hope the youngster performs? Or does he enter the transfer market and bring in another centre-back…?
Obviously we don’t know the full extent of Gomez’s issue, but judging by the defender’s past, he rarely misses just one match when injured.
The fanbase has had its say…

No Joe Gomez in the squad. Hopefully not an injury. If it is then we're down to VVD as our only fit senior centre-back.

Looks like Joe Gomez must have an injury. Surprised Robertson doesn’t start. Maybe a slight fitness issue ?

Eek, no Joe Gomez tonight.
Just down to Van Dijk and the youngsters at CB?
