Liverpool’s team to face Torino tonight has been announced and there’s some worry amongst supporters as Joe Gomez is nowhere to be seen.
As a result, Nat Philipps is starting alongside Virgil van Dijk, the only fit senior centre-back…
The assumption is that Gomez is injured, anyway, or is at least carrying a knock, as he’d be an automatic starter with Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan already out – and Dejan Lovren only returning from holiday yesterday.

Jurgen Klopp now faces a dilemma. Does he risk playing Lovren against West Ham when the 29-year-old isn’t fully match-fit? Does he field Philipps at Anfield and hope the youngster performs? Or does he enter the transfer market and bring in another centre-back…?
Obviously we don’t know the full extent of Gomez’s issue, but judging by the defender’s past, he rarely misses just one match when injured.
The fanbase has had its say…
