Bundesliga side in talks to sign Liverpool attacker as alternative to Chelsea ace

Liverpool striker Divock Origi is a loan target for Borussia Dortmund before the end of the transfer window in Europe, according to latest reports.

Not really a regular first-teamer anyway, it seems Origi will be heading out of Anfield in the near future as ESPN report we’re in talks over letting him move to Dortmund.

Despite some early promise at Liverpool, it’s little surprise the Belgian is now fairly far down Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order.

Origi’s best chance this year might have come if Daniel Sturridge had moved on permanently, but with the England man showing strong pre-season form, that’s surely cemented Origi’s future away from us.

Dortmund need a striker, with ESPN noting they missed out on getting Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea after he spent the second half of last season on loan in Germany.

Let’s hope Origi can do something to impress in his latest move, but if he is to have any future with Liverpool he’ll need to significantly improve on the six goals in 34 games that he managed with Wolfsburg last season.
