Liverpool face PSG on September 18th in our opening Champions League Group Stage game.
We got drawn last night against the French champions, Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli and Red Star Belgrade in what’s a very tricky group.
But Liverpool shouldn’t fear anybody and we’re actually excited to take part in a competitive group after whooping Spartak Moscow and Maribor last year.
It’s good news that PSG’s metronome midfielder Marco Verratti will miss the first leg suspended, as will legendary Italian stopper Gianluigi Buffon.
What’s more, Dani Alves will be injured and unable to compete, meaning Thomas Meunier will play instead.
PSG will still be incredibly strong, with their front-three of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani, in our opinion, one of the only trios that can compete with Liverpool’s for the title of world’s best.
Thankfully we have the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson and Joe Gomez to help stop them nowadays!
The fixture schedule for us is now incredibly daunting, but we’re excited. Bring it on.
