Yep, you guessed it: LFC player injured with England on international duty

It’s painfully predictable… There isn’t a single international break where at least one of our players doesn’t pick up an injury.

And today it’s Adam Lallana, who’s barely even featured for Liverpool yet this term.

According to the Echo, the Englishman has already withdrawn from training under Gareth Southgate this Tuesday.

As a result, he might return to Melwood and might not feature in the friendlies against Switzerland and USA, although we have no confirmation on that.

Lallana missed basically the entire campaign last time out with an injury and has started this term on the bench.

He seems to have lost his spark and has never been a regular contributor in the final third, although he does have very good feet and when fit, presses relentlessly.

As a result, we think he’ll be an important squad member this term, although probably nothing else.

But if we have genuine intentions to compete in four competitions, we’ll need bodies. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
