Huge LFC transfer news as Klopp chooses Rabiot; Bosman possible after phonecall – Reliable source

Here’s something for us to get our teeth into during the mind-numbingly boring international break!

Liverpool have made PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot a genuine target for the centre of the park and Jurgen Klopp wants to bring him in on a Bosman free transfer next summer.

This has been confirmed by the extremely reliable Julien Laurens in ESPNFC.

Laurens claims that Klopp, who’s wanted the 23-year-old ever since he managed Borussia Dortmund, has already spoken to both the player and his mother (also Rabiot’s agent) on the phone.

His contract expires at the end of this season and at the moment it doesn’t look like he’s going to extend.

Therefore, we could either sign Rabiot for a reduced price in January or at least secure his services for 2019/20 via the Bosman ruling, as come the start of next calendar year, we can legally offer him a contract.

Interestingly, the midfielder will be at Anfield this month with his club and Reds will get the chance to check him out first hand in the Champions League fixture between Liverpoo and PSG.

There won’t be much movement on this for some time, but if Klopp sets his sights on a player, he usually doesn’t rest until they’re through the door.
