We love Jurgen Klopp to the point where it’s practically unconditional, but really, really would like him to stop bringing on Joel Matip in the dying minutes of our matches!
The Cameroonian was brought on today for Trent Alexander-Arnold, as he was last week as well, and Liverpool conceded a goal.
Thankfully we held on, but in no way did it help the defence, regardless of the fact Spurs were likely to go slightly more aerial.

Matip went into central defence and it just made us look entirely more shaky, when Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk had been nothing but exceptional all afternoon…
It’s not Matip’s fault. He’s entering the pitch at a tense, crucial stage. But it can be entirely avoided!

Noteworthy: Matip seemingly disrupting the balance of LFC's defense when coming on towards the end. Furthermore, this was the exact same scenario last season but Matip was Klavan. Certainly something that should be looked over, could be the difference of winning and losing points
