Key player a doubt for PSG & Klopp not happy with officials

Roberto Firmino was back to his today.

Not only did the Brazilian score his second goal of the season and his second in two games, but his overall performance was mind-boggling.

When he’s in this kind of form, no other player in the Premier League can match his combination of work-rate and creativity.

Time and time again he played in one of Mo Salah or Sadio Mane, or did something clever in midfield to begin a counter-attack.

But annoyingly, Bobby had to come off late on due to an injury to his eye.

We don’t know the severity of it, but it looks like he might not be able to play on Tuesday against PSG in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp thought the decision not to punish Spurs for the incident was crazy.

“We don’t know exactly in the moment. It’s something with his eye,” he told reporters.

“It was a free-kick to Tottenham…funny. I only saw the situation from 60 yards away. For sure in the moment it’s not comfortable for him.”

Eyes usually heal quickly, but if he’s taken a scratch to the surface, he’s going to be in a lot of pain.

If he can’t play against PSG, Klopp will either field Daniel Sturridge centrally or Xherdan Shaqiri as a false-9.

Both are capable of doing a job.
