Liverpool’s bench will be without Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke for the Champions League tie with PSG tomorrow.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed during today’s press-conference that the duo picked up injuries when playing for the U23s, unfortunately.

“We have new injury concerns. We tried to give Divock and Dom a bit of practice [for the U23s]; they used it, they scored, but it looks like both of them will not be available for tomorrow,” Klopp said, cited in the Echo.

“It’s not too serious. Div has a little bit of an ankle [injury]. He tried this morning and didn’t really work out too well, so he will try again tomorrow morning. With Dom, we have to see. He got a knock and we will see how that develops.

“So not good news in the moment, but we have a lot of players available and when I saw the players yesterday, there were not any other issues.”

So without Origi and Solanke, Daniel Sturridge will start if Roberto Firmino’s eye hasn’t improved in time by Tuesday evening.

We think the Brazilian will be crucial to our chances in all honesty, so really hope he can start, as Sturridge’s lack of work-rate or movement limits our overall offence.

Of course, he’s terrific when presented with opportunities in the box and we hope, if he starts, he’ll get some at Anfield!

This weekend coming up is another Anfield tie, in which we’ll surely go full strength, before resting a plethora of names in the EFL Cup tie with Chelsea.
