LFC star labelled a ‘Manager’s Dream’ by former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder

The Reds’ Sadio Mane, who was one of only three players to feature in both the weekend’s win over former club Southampton and Wednesday night’s defeat to Chelsea, has been lavished with praise by former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Emmanuel Petit.

Mane, who has scored almost a goal every two games since signing for us including four league goals in six matches this season, has always been recognised as a vital player by Reds fans, but got the rightful commendation from the pundit having made a good start to the season.

Speaking on RMC Sport’s Le Vestiaire, translated by Sport Witness, Petit said: “He’s a boy who has the engine of a midfielder, the tenacity of a defender, the creativity of a number 10 and on top of that he scores goals.

“The guy’s never tired, never injured, and he never says anything bad. He’s a manager’s dream.”

The Frenchman is right – he might not get the praise that Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino have got recently, but Mane is a vital part of this team under Jurgen Klopp – long may that continue.
