Nabil Fekir has, according to various rumours on Twitter, refused a new contract at Lyon.
Jean Michel-Aulas was naturally keen to extend his captain’s deal, but according to many, the 25-year-old has rejected the opportunity.
There’s been no official confirmation, but Fekir was offered a new deal in June [FourFourTwo] and he’s not put pen to paper yet which would suggest he has no plans on doing so…
A January transfer to Liverpool could be extremely exciting, especially considering the manner in which Fekir began this season. He put Manchester City to the sword in the Champions League and has three goals and two assists in his past four games.

There’s no sign of the knee injury which ruined his medical and summer transfer to Liverpool, but in fairness, he’s been fully fit for the past two years and has played over 80 games.
If we’re competing for titles domestically and in Europe though, Fekir could be a fantastic boost to our chances, just like Virgil van Dijk was earlier this year.
We’re currently at 13/1 to go one better than we did in the Champions League last year (Source: MyBettingSites), but those odds would shorten if we acquired the World Cup winner.
Here’s what some Reds are saying on Twitter. Will Fekir eventually get his dream Anfield switch..?

Seeing a lot of rumours on Nabil Fekir rejecting new Lyon contract. I want to advise nothing credible so far has come out. I would wait a little. It would however not be surprising given he had both foot out of the door in the summer.

With all this Fekir talk still going on and after watching him against city you can see why Klopp wants him. He is so sharp, presses high and is always looking forward. Impressive!
