Mourinho takes on the S*n, and Liverpool should support him

We don’t especially like Jose Mourinho, although we’d quite like him to keep his job at Manchester United for the considerable future.

They’re nine points behind us in the Premier League already and it’s a shame our Sunday fixture at Anfield is against their rivals City instead – as we’d give them a hiding right now.

Mourinho is under enormous pressure from the national media, and he’s reacting in the only manner he knows – with aggression and hostility.

Yesterday though, he accused S*n ‘journalist’ Neil Custis of tapping his phone, after the ‘writer’ penned an article about Zinedine Zidane calling Mourinho and promising the Portuguese he wasn’t after his job…

According to Mourinho, a phone-bug would have been the only way Custis could have possibly got this information.

We’d not be at all surprised if Mourinho was right, but really, United should take a stand and simply ban the rag from their news conferences.

Last year, a petition showed fans from 70 clubs wanted to boycott the newspaper, but there’s been little in terms of official action.

As fans, United are our rivals, but they represent a football club and not a right-wing, evil organisation that peddles lies on a daily basis.

There’s only one side Liverpool should fall on, here.
