Sky Sports claim Oxlade-Chamberlain on ‘comeback trail’

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking fit and lean in the gym right now, as he continues his rehabilitation ahead of a return in 2019.

The Englishman has been out of action since injuring his knee in the Champions League semi-final against Roma, which ruined his chance of playing in the final and the World Cup for his country.

Initial predictions from Liverpool suggested Ox would be out for the entirety of this season, which was devastating news to receive for the fans, but obviously the player as well.

Sky Sports though have claimed Ox is now on the ‘comeback trail’ following his latest Instagram post, which shows him working hip flexors.

The end of this season does seem like an awful long time for Ox to get back playing, but it’s best we’re pleasantly surprised by his eventual return date than disappointed as it continually gets pushed back…

We could do with his dynamism and drive in our midfield now, but we reckon March/April is when we can expect to see him in full first-team training, based on what we’ve heard from inside the club.
