We haven’t actually lost a top flight game at Anfield since Crystal Palace in April 2017 – a very long time ago.
Anfield is indeed a fortress again, especially this season, thanks to our improved backline.
Virgil van Dijk has been an incredible signing and in our opinion, is the best central defender on the planet right now (despite his mistake against Manchester City on Sunday).
Between the sticks, we have a genuinely elite goalkeeper in Alisson, who bar his error against Leicester, has been faultless since arriving this summer.
What’s more, we have an ever-improving Andrew Robertson at left-back and Joe Gomez, who is performing way above expectations and has arguably been our best player this season.
Once the frontline start to hit top form, we’ll be laughing.
This season could be special.
