Reliable journo confirms Liverpool planning cut-price January transfer

The Welshman has started this season exceptionally for Arsenal, but will not be renewing terms at the Emirates.

His current deal expires in summer 2019 and will be available either on the cheap in January, or for nothing at the end of the campaign.

According to James Olley in the Standard, Liverpool could pay around £25m for Ramsey this winter, half of what we would have spent on Nabil Fekir a few months back, before pulling out on the deal for the World Cup winner.

He also writes that his current £110k/week wages would not be an obstacle for Liverpool, hinting that we’d be prepared to go higher and that we’d arguably be a more attractive option than Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.

No Liverpool correspondents have confirmed our interest in Ramsey, but they’ve often been a little slow on genuine transfer targets ever since the Virgil van Dijk deal was leaked early last summer, which caused Southampton to report us to the Premier League.

With the Alisson and Fabinho deals, foreign outlets got the news first and the likes of James Pearce, Paul Joyce, etc, eventually followed.

Ramsey is a talented player and for cheap, we’d suggest he’s an upgrade on Adam Lallana and would be a handy addition considering Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for the entire campaign.
