(Video) Dom Solanke scored a lovely finish for England U21s last night

England U21s battered Andorra 7-0 last night, and Dom Solanke got in on the act.

The striker started the game from the bench, but eventually came on and made it 5-0 in the 81st minute, having rounded the keeper with aplomb.

You can watch the goal below:

Solanke hasn’t played a minute of first-team football yet this term and it’s looking like a loan move would have perhaps been a smarter option for the 21-year-old.

He’s behind Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge in our pecking order and with Liverpool exiting the League Cup, and our Champions League group extremely difficult, there are no obvious opportunities in the near future.

Last term, Solanke did get his chances, but only scored his first goal on the final day of the Premier League campaign, firing in against Brighton.

We reckon a temporary move away in January could do him good – ideally to a top flight club willing to play him.
