Klopp explains frustration at ‘rubbish’ passes during Huddersfield match

Jurgen Klopp was happy to take three points away from Yorkshire but admitted parts of the Reds’ game were ‘rubbish’.

The team were perhaps a little fortunate to get over the line, and disappointed in attack when given time and space to exploit, but ultimately won the match.

Klopp told BT Sport: “The result is absolutely good. I knew it would be a challenge – after the international break it’s always difficult.

“I’m not angry but I think we should expect to do better. Most of the things that didn’t work today was because Huddersfield did really well, but a few things I saw Huddersfield couldn’t do any more, then we helped with an average pass or a rubbish pass.

“We expect from us really good football and I would like to see that. We were here to win the game and that’s what we did.”

The only thing that matters for now is that three points were won – but in future, the Reds must do better. Better teams could inflict more punishment and it’s good to see Klopp recognise that before it becomes an issue.
