Mane linked with ridiculous Premier League move by Togo boss

Sometimes, we have absolutely no idea why certain coaches or players talk about Liverpool.

They often have no link to the club, or worse, very little knowledge, as it appears in this instance!

Togo manager Claude Le Roy has for some reason found time to discuss Sadio Mane, and speculated that he could go on to play for Barca, Real or… Manchester United!

“Sadio is an excellent player and I tell you that all of Africa watches him play in the Premier League at the weekend as well as the Champions League,” Le Roy said, cited in Football365.

“He’d have his place at Manchester United, at Barcelona, or at Real Madrid.”

Now, there’s more chance of Mo Salah signing for Torquay United than Mane being allowed to join United!

The Senegalese is one of our best players and will surely stay at Anfield for the best years of his career, which are now approaching, considering he’s 26-years-old.

The forward is contracted until 2021, which is two more seasons after this one, but it would still be nice if Mane put pen to paper soon.

Liverpool have offered Mane an extension, sources tell us, but as of yet, he’s not agreed on a wage.

It’s nothing to worry about yet, but with Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Roberto Firmino already tied down for the next five years, it would be great to add Mane to that list.
