Sturridge made Klopp die laughing last night in final minutes…

It’s been a while since Jurgen Klopp has been able to see out the end of a Liverpool game in his seat, looking completely relaxed and not racked with anxiety!

But at 4-0 v Red Star, the German seemed pretty relaxed, all in all.

In the final minutes of the game, Daniel Sturridge made him burst out laughing, by attempting to recreate his goal v Chelsea from a few weeks back.

From near enough the same position, Sturridge tried to curl in a left-footed shot over the keepers head and into the far corner, but Milan Borjan saved quite comfortably…

Sturridge’s cameo off the bench still included an assist for Sadio Mane and he was actually very impressive in the small number of minutes Klopp gave him.

It’s brilliant having a player of his undoubted ability available to bring off the bench or start when one of the front-three are unavailable.

If he maintains fitness, he’ll play a massive role this term. To think, back in January, Sturridge was farmed on loan to West Brom, and nobody cared.

Below, you’ll see his effort against Chelsea, that did of course find the back of the net!
