Paul Merson, an Arsenal legend, remember, has made more crazy comments about his former side’s Emirates clash with Liverpool next weekend.
The pundit was on Sky Sports yesterday and claimed the Gunners would get obliterated by Liverpool, despite the fact they’ve won 11 games on the trot.
Merson reckons Liverpool will win by at least three goals and used a boxing metaphor to describe Unai Emery’s defensively weak side.
“As soon as they’re hit, they’re going spark out. Liverpool will rip them to shreds,” he said!

Now, this is the same Merson who reckoned Mo Salah was unhappy and would depart for Real Madrid in January, so most of what he says can be taken with a very large pinch of salt.
However, Arsenal have been riding a wave recently and while they can play very exciting offensive football, they have liabilities at the back.
