Ridiculous penalty stat shows Liverpool are undeniably being done by refs

It doesn’t make sense that Liverpool don’t get penalties at Anfield in the Premier League, when we dominate nearly every game and have plenty of touches in the box.

Last season, Tottenham got more penalties at our ground than we did.

In Europe, refs are happy to give us spot-kicks, but domestically, it seemingly never happens.

Against Cardiff yesterday, Mo Salah had one stonewaller and another that could’ve been given, but neither were.

Statistician Andrew Beasley tweeted a crazy fact today, that sums up the situation. Crystal Palace have had as many PL penalties at Selhurst Park since New Years Eve than Liverpool have had since Jurgen Klopp took over, back in October 2015.

This doesn’t make any sense, in short. It’s almost impossible that Palace, relegation strugglers, have deserved more penalties at their own ground than we have at ours.

Hopefully the pattern will soon change and we’ll find home wins a little easier to come by.

Paul Tomkins sums up the situation well!
