Divock Origi insists that his Reds career is not over and that he is focusing only on getting back into Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

Via the Liverpool Echo, he said: “The manager has been encouraging me, like he does with all the players, just trying to push us and bring the best out of us every day.

“At 23 I have big ambitions but it’s just about focusing on the here and now and driving on as much as possible and hopefully let my feet talk on the pitch.

“Goals are a result of you being happy and performing on the pitch and I am aiming to do whatever I can to enjoy it, if that’s in training or if that’s in game. We can see how it goes.”

Origi made the matchday squad for the first time this season against Huddersfield, but it yet to make an appearance.

He added: “It is always good to be involved in the team and I think it shows that I have been going in the right way, so I am happy.”

You have to admire his determination, but we feel a move elsewhere would be the best thing for both parties come January.
