Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be picking his side to face Liverpool on Saturday from a relatively small group of players..
Last night in the EFL Cup, Mattéo Guendouzi got sent off against Blackpool and as a result, will be banned from this weekend’s Emirates clash.
He has established himself as a starter for Emery this season, but the Spaniard will now have to look elsewhere.
On top of Guendouzi, Arsenal have six players either definitely missing the Liverpool game or facing a race against time to make it.
They are Hector Bellerin, Mohamed El Neny, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Laurent Koscielny.
Liverpool will be without Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson, both of whom are still to begin full training following their respective injuries, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain of course remains a long-term absentee.
As a result, we think Jurgen Klopp will select Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner in midfield, with Xherdan Shaqiri a more offensive option off the bench if we need to switch things up.
