Robertson explains frustration after Arsenal draw

Andy Robertson has explained that the players were disappointed to only come away with a point from the Emirates because they have proven before this season to be good at holding onto leads.

Robertson told LiverpoolFC.com: “It was a hard one because we took the lead and this season we’ve been really good at holding on to leads. I thought that was going to be the case.

“We lost a poor goal from our point of view. On another day we could have been a bit more comfortable, but two good teams went at it and a draw is probably a fair result.

“Hopefully at the end of the season it will be a point gained – but just now it doesn’t feel like that.”

It just goes to show how far the players have developed as a team that a point away at Arsenal feels like a defeat. Hopefully, the dropped points won’t prove to be too harmful in the title race.
