Lazar Markovic, can you kindly leave already?
Last night, following our loss to Red Star Belgrade, the winger, contracted to our club, liked this post on Twitter, featuring multiple Serbian flags.
Liverpool literally pay Markovic’s wages and although he isn’t part of the first-team set-up, this is highly unprofessional behaviour.
During the summer, Markovic had the chance to join Anderlecht, but turned down the Belgians and decided to stay at Liverpool as a non-footballing footballer instead.
At 24, this is an embarrassing decision – and it’s little surprise Jurgen Klopp hasn’t given him one minute of competitive football in over three years considering his obviously poor attitude.
Hopefully in January he’ll finally move on. We don’t care if we get a transfer fee for his services anymore – just that he departs and gets off the wage bill.
But we probably think he’ll hang around until the summer and leave on a free where he can get a larger signing on fee elsewhere.
