Klopp tells fans to ‘stay at home’ if they arrive at Anfield with this attitude

Jurgen Klopp delivered his weekly plea to Liverpool fans to turn up at Anfield in numbers and make noise.

We face Fulham on Sunday lunchtime in an absolutely must-win fixture against the Premier League’s most out of form side.

Fulham have been shipping goals at an alarming rate and we’re heavy favourites to win and win well.

The boss asks the same thing every single week, but is sadly only really answered in big games nowadays…

“Another challenge is the 12 o’clock kick off. Please go to bed early on Saturday night and come to Anfield in your best shape,” he told Melwood reporters.

“If you think it’s going to be easy, please stay at home!”

Klopp is clearly worried the crowd will moan and groan if they’re not rewarded with goals early on – which happens – especially during daytime kick-offs and especially against theoretically poorer teams.

However, the noon start is ridiculously early and it’s unlikely the crowd will bounce immediately, all things considered.

Some outstanding football by an offensive lineup would help, of course. We’d like to see Xherdan Shaqiri as an attacking midfielder behind the front-three, ideally.
