Gini Wijnaldum has praised Liverpool and Netherlands teammate Virgil van Dijk for the impact he has had on the Reds – saying he ‘really helps’ in their quest for trophies.
According to LiverpoolFC.com, Wijnaldum said: “I think Virgil has made a difference because he is a good defender, a big defender. He is an extra man who can defend set-pieces as well.
“He is a leader in the last line who not only helps himself with his quality but also the players next to him – he really helps the team.

We would certainly have to agree – Virgil is by far the best central defender in the Premier League. He’s absolutely transformed our defence.
