Dominic Solanke continued his fine scoring form on the international stage by bagging a brace as England’s U21s cruised to a 5-1 win over Denmark on Tuesday.
The Liverpool striker followed up his efforts in Thursday’s 2-1 win over Italy to make it four goals in two games for Aidy Boothroyd’s side.
Demarai Gray put the young Three Lions ahead just after the half hour mark, before Solanke made it two with an expertly-placed header into the far corner.
He added his second two minutes after the interval as he turned in the rebound from Phil Foden’s shot with a clever back heel.
A late double from Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealed the win to extend England’s unbeaten record to 22 matches.

Solanke is yet to appear for Liverpool’s first team so far this season and has featured just twice for Neil Critchley’s U23s.
His latest statement in England colours raises a familiar dilemma over his options ahead of the January transfer window.
That said, the 21-year-old recently expressed his trust in the approach Jurgen Klopp is taking with his development on Merseyside.
Quite frankly, it’s a seriously tough ask for any forward to break into the team ahead one of Liverpool’s front three. With a typically busy festive schedule approaching, his first senior outing can’t be too far away.
