(Video) Look out for Ben Woodburn’s glorious flick in Rafa Camacho goal move

Ben Woodburn provided a reminder of his talent on Sunday as he starred in Liverpool’s mini-derby win over Everton.

The Welshman was able to feature for the U23s thanks to a clause in his loan deal with Sheffield United stating his availability for Neil Critchley’s side if not included in the Blades’ senior matchday squad.

It took just 11 minutes for the 19-year-old to make an impact when he helped trigger the move that lead to Rafael Camacho’s opener.

A superb flick between two markers invited teammates forward, before Adam Lewis’ eventual strike deflected in off Camacho for what would prove a rather fortuitous, yet deserved, winner.

Woodburn supplied a glimpse of his versatility throughout, impressing in both an advanced attacking position and then a deeper role after the interval.

Here’s a look at his involvement in the goal…

Woodburn is expected to be recalled from his loan spell in January having seen his first team opportunities limited during his time at Bramall Lane.

The teenager has managed just seven appearances in the Championship so far this season, making up a measly  155 minutes of game time in the process. His omission from the matchday squad on seven occasions has inevitably raised growing concerns over the value of his stint with Chris Wilder’s side.

A return to Melwood looks the logical option at this stage given the prospect of a prominent role for the U23s and the chance to regain some momentum as one of the more experienced youngsters.
