LFC rocked by illness to superstar ahead of PSG clash

One of Liverpool’s devastating front-three could be unavailable for the game with PSG on Wednesday evening…

Sadio Mane has an illness, which according to David Lynch of the Evening Standard, could keep him out of the crunch Champions League tie.

A win in France will see us progress to the knockout stages at the expense of Thomas Tuchel’s side, but we’re underdogs against a team who are already 15 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 and have Kylian Mbappe and Neymar available following injury scares.

Mane is going to try this morning and a decision will be made on how the Senegalese flyer is feeling.

If he isn’t up to it, Jurgen Klopp will leave him at home to avoid the risk of Mane infecting others with his winter bug.

In his place, we think Klopp will shift Xherdan Shaqiri to the front-three and pick an extra midfielder, potentially James Milner, centrally.

In the home leg, Milner and Jordan Henderson were exceptional and we think both will start, probably alongside Gini Wijnaldum in a hard-working trio that will look to hassle PSG and quickly give the ball to Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.
