Liverpool’s U19 team fell to a 3-2 defeat in the UEFA Youth League in Paris – meaning they will need to beat Napoli on Merseyside in the final game of the group to confirm their place in the knockout stages.

Liam Millar made it 0-1 to the Reds with Rafa Camacho grabbing the assist, before 17-year-old Ruben Providence equalised for PSG almost straight away.

Shortly after half-time, Arnaud Muinga made it 2-1 to the hosts, and then a penalty kick made it 3-1.

The young Reds pulled a goal back before the end of the game through Millar again, but PSG held on for the victory.

Let’s hope the first team can get a better result later this evening and reach the knockout stages without the need for a win over Napoli at Anfield.
