Klopp wants new rule imposed following PSG’s ridiculous antics

Jurgen Klopp was rightly furious at the antics on display by PSG last night…

They won the game 2-1 and in truth, were the better side, but the manner in which they went about it was horrible.

Throughout the match, their players were diving, cheating, time-wasting, pretending to be hurt and everything in between. It was difficult to watch and a terrible advert for football.

In his post-match comments, Klopp said that it should be a bookable offence to feign a nasty injury and carry on playing, as James Pearce tweets:

If it had been, Thiago Silva, Neymar, Angel di Maria and Kylian Mbappe would all have been sent off!

In reality, Liverpool played poorly and away from home in Europe, we’ve been very bad.

This is undeniable. And we obviously have to look at our own performance and our own tactical decisions – but PSG ought to be ashamed of themselves based on the play-acting and cheating that went down mercilessly, in front of their own supporters and the rest of Europe, for well over an hour.

There we go. They won. Congratulations. Let’s get them in the knockout stages.
