Liverpool are unsurprisingly well-represented on the shortlist for the 2018 African Player of Year award.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita have all been nominated for the accolade on the back of highly impressive seasons.

Salah and Mane are both also in the running for the BBC African Player of the Year prize, with the voting set to close on December 2.

The former won both awards last season as he helped Egypt to the African Cup of Nations final as well as their first World Cup since 1990.

All three have been named on a preliminary 34-man list of nominees, as detailed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
