Sadio Mane was the hero the last time Liverpool beat Everton with a stoppage-time goal – and he also played a part in helping the Reds win this evening.
Before Divock Origi’s late goal, Everton were doing their best to wind the clock down – but Mane was having none of it.

When Idrissa Gana Gueye went down injured, Mane picked up the physio’s bag to speed up the process of him leaving the pitch.

Mane also showed his contempt for Gueye’s delayed recovery by tapping him gently on the head. He certainly had the last laugh.

Even with their timewasting tactics, Everton still have not won at Anfield since 1999 – and Origi’s goal means the Reds are back within two points of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
