Fabinho outlines the one thing he’s noticed since signing for Liverpool

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who signed for Liverpool from Monaco in the summer, says there has been one big thing he needed to get used to when arriving in the Premier League: the physicality.

It’s always something that players cite when they move into a new culture, and Fabinho is no different. He took his time to adapt, but is now well and truly integrated.

Fabinho told LiverpoolFC.com: “I’m really happy and settled at the club.

“The intensity is different from what I am used to [but] I’ve got into the rhythm of the team and got used to the style of play.

“In the first games I didn’t have that automatic understanding with the rest of the team, but I can do this faster now.”

Fabinho was Man of the Match against Manchester United and is expected to play again against Wolves on Friday. He has certainly found his feet in recent matches.

Fabinho added: “I already had an idea about how the Premier League would be, but the difference is the physically intense nature, the difficulty of every single game, whether you’re playing against a team who are at the top or the bottom.

“It’s what I expected from following it on the TV, but playing in it, you really appreciate that it is the most competitive league in the world.”

Hopefully, the midfielder can go from strength to strength from now on – it’s great that there is so much competition for places in the middle of the pitch. He and Gini Wijnaldum have struck up an excellent partnership.
