Reported Reds target will ‘definitively’ leave current club in 2019

PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot looks set to leave France in January, or at least when his contract expires next summer, after his mother confirmed the news.

According to Goal.com, Rabiot’s mother said: “Rabiot’s decision to leave? It is firm and definitive. The current situation has completely deteriorated; there is no going back now.

“During the summer transfer window, I told Mr Henrique [Antero, PSG’s sporting director]. Adrien is on the transfer list because Adrien wanted to leave the club and that was said clearly.”

Liverpool ‘haven’t said’ they want to sell forward – despite talk of January move

Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a move for the French star for a number of months, and PSG have now removed him from their squad because of the stand-off, increasing the likelihood of a January move elsewhere. They are unlikely to want to keep him long if the decision has been made to remove him from the squad.

Thomas Tuchel told Goal.com: “It’s a decision of the club that Adrien is not with the team.”

Barcelona are reportedly favourites for his signature, but the Reds are also name-checked as having an interest in him.

You can never have too much quality in any area of the pitch, and we’re sure if Rabiot is of any interest to the Reds, the club will do everything possible to make it happen.
