Klopp explains Naby Keita’s two injuries, but it’s good news

Naby Keita won’t be a long-term injury absentee, thankfully.

The Guinean was targeted by aggressive Wolves tackles tonight, and left the field limping in the second-half.

He seemed to struggle with the intense physicality and the horrible conditions, which would have been the worst he’s seen since moving to England from Germany.

Jurgen Klopp claimed after the game that he cut his foot from an accidental stamp and got a knock to the midriff, but that neither issue is serious.

This is very good news.

Keita didn’t have his best game, but still showed glimpses of why he’s going to be so important for us going forward.

He’ll unlikely play against Newcastle on Boxing Day, but we’d be surprised if he isn’t available for the Arsenal tie on the 29th.

On the 26th, We’re convinced Klopp will bring back Gini Wijnaldum, who he gave a rest this evening, as well as Xherdan Shaqiri, who could play on the right, with Sadio Mane moving to the left.
