Even a quiet day at the office couldn’t stop Liverpool’s £67million goalkeeper making his mark.
Alisson produced a superb double save late on in the Reds’ 4-0 win over Newcastle to earn his 12th Premier League clean sheet of the season.
The Brazilian was quick off the mark to thwart a dangerous cross, before rising to his feet and running back into his box to make a second stop.
It capped off another convincing victory for the Reds as they moved six points ahead of second-placed Tottenham and seven points clear of third-placed Manchester City.
With so much having been said about the value of City’s superior goal difference in recent months, Alisson’s latest heroics are well worth the recognition.
Reds evidently loved the moment…
Brilliant that by Alisson. Cuts out the throughball and then makes a save despite being miles off his line. Mental. Love him.
City might be losing their heads here. Delph red card now at Leicester. Still 2-1.
Lost after being ahead twice in a row now. 3 defeats in 4.

Alisson didn’t have much to do but saved us when needed. He’s the goalkeeper we’ve been looking for since Pepe Reina https://t.co/i9UFbCPH69
