Manchester City’s Belgian captain was out of position and scythed our Egyptian down, who thankfully jumped out of the way to avoid a potentially broken leg.

Klopp said the decision from Anthony Taylor was a terrible one, and we 100% agree with him.

If City had lost a man, we cannot imagine they would have gone on to score goals, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

We also had a ball cleared off the line which was 1.1cm away from being awarded a goal, so it’s fair to say this wasn’t our night.

We’ve had the rub of the green this term and some great luck along the way. These things happen. Thankfully Salah wasn’t injured and can now rest for the FA Cup tie with Wolves, and get back scoring v Brighton.

Remember, Liverpool are in the driving street.
