Klopp has to fix this eery January stat…

Since Jurgen Klopp took charge of Liverpool in October 2015, we’ve lost just 25 games in total – a pretty impressive record – in our opinion.

But year in, year out, we’ve struggled during the month of January, for some reason or another.

According to Opta, 10 of all of Klopp’s Liverpool losses have come in the first month of the year, with the defeat to Manchester City last night included.

In a previous season, we really struggled in January without Sadio Mane, who was at the AFCON, but we no longer have that excuse.

It’s perhaps no surprise that we find this month the most tricky as it comes after the hectic festive schedule, which takes an awful lot out of our players fitness wise due to Klopp’s ferociously physical style.

This term though, we’ve left more in the tank when winning games easily than previously, so we really hope we can buck the trend.

If we rest key names against Wolves, we’ll be able to bring back the stars for the Premier League game with Brighton – which at this stage – is much more important.
