Liverpool & City’s next 6 games show Reds in driving seat

A win, or even a draw last night would have been brilliant.

We completely understand that. But the reality is we’ve still got a four point lead on Manchester City, our closest rivals for the title.

And our next six games are arguably much kinder fixtures than theirs.

We’ve got very winnable home ties with Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth, while going away to Brighton, West Ham and Manchester United.

The United game is obviously monumental, but we can realistically expect to try and win the five beforehand.

City play Wolves, who they drew to earlier this season, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton – three teams we’d hope could at least try and do us a favour.

(Although we’re pretty confident Everton will roll over and die, practically on purpose, as they’ve literally no respect themselves!)

If we were offered this position a few months ago, when City looked like they’d walk the Premier League, we’d snap your hand off.

A win against Brighton (to be honest, we couldn’t care less about the FA Cup result) and we’re back on track.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We lost a battle, but we will not lose the war!
