Huddersfield Town have parted company with manager David Wagner, Jurgen Klopp’s best mate, and Reds fans were quick to rally around him.
The Yorkshire side are bottom of the Premier League and look like going down, but in truth, without Wagner, they would have got nowhere near the top flight in the first place.

The 47-year-old leaves Town after detailed discussions with the Board of Directors, with both parties agreeing this is the correct move for the future of the Club.

Wagner certainly won’t be short of job offers given the job he has done under difficult financial constraints.
Huddersfield survived last season against all odds and most of that was down to his management.

Best man at Klopp’s wedding, and previously on the boss’ coaching staff, Wagner was a popular man across the Premier League – and Reds fans were quick to praise him when the news broke he was leaving the club.
What a job Wagner did to get Huddersfield up and to keep them up. Surely he would be the best man to get them back up next year if they go down this season.

Most of them had the same idea for where he could go next, too.
So Wagner left Huddersfield.
Can't blame him. He's taken them as far as he could, and clearly over achieved last season.
He'll undoubtedly get snapped up by a bigger club.

Klopp and his coaching staff hardly need extra help – but having someone of Wagner’s expertise in addition to the likes of Pep Lijnders would definitely not be a bad thing.
It’s more likely he ends up at Leicester if Claude Puel gets sacked, or another mid-table club, but you never know.
