We didn’t look like scoring or creating a goal when Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana came on last night.
The former started the season well after a good pre-season, but over the past few months he’s just looked incredibly rusty and the latter’s actual contribution has been minimal.

‘We’re not happy’: Jurgen Klopp reacts to Leicester City draw
Jurgen Klopp isn’t buying a striker this month, but Liverpool’s offensive options outside the front-three are basically zero right now.
Sturridge was awful when he came on and so was the midfielder. Neither player looks like they’re ready for the intensity of a title race and like they can contribute anything from the bench.
Both will likely leave in the summer – but with 14 games left of the Premier League – we have to hope our lack of high quality depth in relation to Manchester City doesn’t hinder us too much.
Need to sign more attackers. My #hottake.

2019 and we’re sending on Lallana and Sturridge to win us a game 😔

Lallana, Origi And Sturridge should all be gone by the summer. All 3 were good players until their injury, and none of them are capable of changing the game. Cold and hard truth.

Fucking Lallana and Sturridge state of our depth man

The sheer failure of Lallana and Sturridge to even look like they should be in a title challenge shows how this squad needs work and also how well we are doing with the limitations we have the deeper we get into the squad.
