LFC’s right-back plans for February explained

Jordan Henderson’s stint as an auxiliary right-back is over, barring any further complications to the players who the position to comes to more naturally.

James Milner will return to the lineup for the West Ham clash, following his suspension for the Leicester tie.

The Echo state that Trent Alexander-Arnold will then be in line to return to action the following weekend, when we face Bournemouth on February 9th.

As a result, Fabinho will surely return to midfield as a starter following his illness, as we badly need the Brazilian’s dynamism and physicality. Versus Everton, we were much improved after his introduction in the second-half.

Klopp has a belief Naby Keita will experience a change in coming months

We can see Jurgen Klopp selecting Fabinho, Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum as his central three on Monday night, in order to get back the midfield dominance we’ve lacked this January.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita have both been poor, so could instead be used as impact players off the bench should we need them in the second-half.

It’ll be very important to get back on winning ways at the London Stadium. West Ham are a dangerous side with good attackers, but they’ll miss Marko Arnautovic, who is injured.

Felipe Anderson is exceptional though, and his battle with Milner down their left flank could be dangerous to us unless we double up.
